Established in 2013, Square One Research and Training is a non-profit organization focused on providing research, training and advocacy services to contribute toward development in the context of Nepal. We are registered with the Company Registrar’s Office, as a private company not distributing profit. We are located in Kupondole, Lalitpur, Nepal with several development partners in close proximity.

In addition, Square One Research and Training has a large database of Associate Consultants who are experts in their respective fields and are regularly called upon to assist in assignment implementation.

Programme Monitoring and Evaluation
We also provide services for program evaluation to identify whether a program is being implemented according to design and outcome monitoring.
Impact Evaluation
We provide professional services to conduct impact evaluations of policies, programs, and technologies based on robust methodologies, either experimental or quasi-experimental.
Survey design and field implementation
One of our expertise is in performing large-scale surveys, database management, and mobile surveys, which includes designing surveys on mobile platforms and also on CSPro.
Real time data cleaning
We conduct real-time data cleaning while field researchers are still in a particular cluster allowing improvements in data collection for that same cluster while they are still there.
Data Analysis/Data Management
We have leveraged our extensive skills in data analysis to produce tangible results using data obtained from primary sources. We have experience in the use of STATA, Minitab, Matlab and R.
Translation and Transcription
We have conducted multiple surveys consisting of both a qualitative and quantitative component and translated the questionnaires and checklists from English into Nepali.
Capacity Building
We provide training on research methodologies that include econometric/statistical analysis using STATA, microeconomic theories, survey design, data management, and data entry using CSPRO, questionnaire design, proposal writing, and report writing.
